If you find you need to changeout the power steering pump, you ought to consider that you will also need to replace 3 hoses (pressure, return, and supply), an inline filter (the $22 +/- one, not the teeny 1.99 one--although you could use both...the cheap one is tiny and fits inside the hose. I originally thought the $22 one was a housing in which the cheap one fitted: not so), AND the two rubber pivot mount bushings (the old ones will almost certainly be in bad shape). The reservoir itself is likely in good shape (easy to remove and inspect for breaks). To reuse the old hoses is penny wise and pound foolish. As is not installing/replacing the flter and pivot bushes.
You will also need 18mm (and possibly) 16mm flarenut wrenches...I had to buy 12 point box combo wrenches at Sears and cut a chunk out in order to get something that could remove the pressure and return hoses from the rack. (oddly the return hose had a 16mm fitting while the replacement is 18; the threads seem the same). Normally wrench sets do not include 16 or 18mm sizes. Neither an adjustable wrench nor open end will work...there is not enough swing room. Not much swing room at all. Even the 12 pt box is iffy. Fortunately, they are not real tight(or mine weren'), just enough to seat the rubber o-rings that should be included with your new hoses.
Don't try to remove the pulley on the old pump yourself. You will screw it up unless you have special tools (a $19.99 universal puller set won't work). Machine shop should cost about $10-15. They'll also clean the parts.
Dont try to remove or reinsert the pump after a couple beers. You have to have the left of the engine jacked up pretty much and it takes a lot of twisting and fussing with. (I learned decades ago to banish beer from my shop; sadly.<G>)
I'm now sitting waiting for the pivot bushings to arrive. I was hoping to have the _(^&^(&*^ running today.
Oh well.
At least perhaps YOU will get your stuff all in house before getting your hands dirty.
