I had the exact same place come unstuck on what used to be my 88 900T, and regular superglue sucks for this job, I spent an hour cleaning away the plasticky residue first time I tried it... 3M Vinyl and Emblem adhesive which may now be called 3M Plastic & Emblem adhesive Manuf. Code: 3M8061 worked wonderfully on what used to be my 1988 900T. I swiped a discarded popsicle stick from one of my godchildren which I trimmed down to apply it, since the opening on the tube tends to be a little thicker than the thinnest spot the vinyl was pulling away from.

I think I found it at an Autozone or Ace Hardware for $3.99
