i enjoyed the problems of a stuck hood.
in my younger yrs. when i had mechanics work on my ride i was in the lobby of the shop and the car was out front with a machanic looking at the front motor mount (looking to see if it was broke)
while i was talking to the one behind the desk i turned to look out the window just in time to see the mechanic droping the hood, as i watched this in horror, while the back of the hood was vibrating from the hard drop the mechanic jumped on the front locking it down.
keeping my cool i turned back to the one at the front desk and waited for the mechanic outside to enter, as he came in i probed his mind to find just why he turned into a monkey on my car.
make a long story short, the mechanic never saw a motor as far-out as the one in the 900.
now back to the stuck hood...
when the hood was locked in place when the backside is vibrating, the sliders that are mounted to the hood do not hit the track thats on the car and when the hood is locked down the sliders will bend on the outside of the track. then the next time the hood it tryed to be opened the sliders keep the hood locked. on my hood it was both sliders that were bent keeping the hood down, sounds like just one of your sliders bent keeping that side of the hood down,
what i did to get the hood up was to have someone pull the hood release inside the car and keep the lever pulled back, go to the front of the hood and force it up (grabe under the lip and pull up)
when the hood it up go to the slider that was bent and bend it back inplace so it lands on the track once again.
