Re: mystery engine bay wires at front of engine Posted by Justin VanAbrahams [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: mystery engine bay wires at front of engine, Saabu ![]() |
What exactly have you swapped? I assume this was a 16v non-turbo in the past? Did you swap the fusebox or just the engine electrical?
Are the wires you're talking about from the chassis harness or the engine electrical harness? If it's the chassis, which I assume it is, the wires which would attached to that section of the harness would be blue (oil pressure idiot light), green&white (alternator), the knock sensor, the distributor Hall sensor wiring, the coolant temp gauge (black, I think), and a pair of bullet connectors that would connect the EZK system on a non-turbo to the FI ECU (black wire & white wire, IIRC).
The only actual spade connectors that should be on any 16v car are for the oil pressure sensor, the alternator, and the coolant temp gauge. Everything else should be Saab's standard round/bullet connectors or the big Amp/Amp Jr. connectors...
