take a look at the place where the roof gutters meet the windshield gasket - there's a space that collects crud (highly technical term :-).
I'd been trying to trace down a similar leak on my '89 SPG for about a year and a half. I checked and sealed every grommett and hole that I could reachm even to the point of trying to tighten the bulkhead connectors to squish the gasket a bit more. The leak dripped down at the left side, just about where the lower dash meets the kickpanel.
One day I looked at the spot I mentioned above and they were full of dirt, bird lint, spider webs, dwarf sequoias, the Holy Grail, etc. I said, "what the heck, nothing else works" and cleaned them out with a nylon wire tie - it hasn't leaked since then.
It's worth a try.
This doesn't mean that there aren't any other holes in the firewall or kickpanel, like where an alarm installer might have drilled in to install a wire and didn't seal.
