I blead the breaks the other day on my 1990 Saab 900 and was immediatly folowed with a severe break system problem after the job was completed. Up until that time, both the ABS Light and Low Fluid Lights would come on after I would start the car (15 minutes sitting or longer) and would go out 8 - 10 seconds over time with good breaking. Since I blead the breaks, the two lights stay on all of the time, the peddle is hard, and breaking requires a hard push!!! I do not hear the pump at all, even with the key on with out the engine running. I tried jumping the ABS pump terminal 30 to 87 to possibly kick on the pump but it blows the fuse when I try, othewise the fuse is OK with the relay in place. I read last night what the accumulator does and what happens if a boost goes bad (audible sound of air leaking under the dash). These are at least two culpretes to the problem. Any suggestions how to cure this situation?
