Well, the part I have looks like a flat ring with 3 metal flanges around the outside perimeter. One of the flanges is broken and missing a screw. It sort of looks like the picture of the part I mentioned, but a little different. I sent a picture to someone of that part trying to get a replacement, and it might be easier to explain if I could send you the picture, but I am not sure how. The problem with the assembly is that 5th gear and Reverse are hard to shift into (reverse more so than 5th). I hope by replacing that part and taking the assembly apart to make sure everything else is in tact the problem will get fixed, but I am not sure that is what is causing the problem. The shifter feels a bit loose, causing it to be able to move a little in the housing. The bolt/flange that are broken are the ones closest to me, making me think that if that is the problem, the whole assembly may move a little, making it tough to get it into those two gears.

If you tell me how to get a picture to you, I will show you more what I mean...I heard today it isn't super tough to take the assembly apart, I just am a bit nervous messing with something so integral to driving when I have not done it before, but I guess there is a first for everything...
