92 900T stuttering update - FPR smells like gas?

The problem is intermittent rich running and stuttering. It happens every few hundred miles, usually when its warm out and the car has been driven a while. Between stuttering episodes, the car runs fine. You can read my other posts for more history if you're a masochist.
Last night I extracted my turbo bypass valve and it looks fine - no cracks or anything. Sucking on the vacuum port opens the valve normally, and the piston stays retracted until I release the vacuum, so I'm guessing this thing is okay just as people on this board suspected.
I pulled the vacuum line off the FPR and got a whif of gasoline. Sucking on the vacuum port I got a taste of gas but no actual fluid. Today I let it idle with the line disconnected and plugged, but no gas came out of the FPR port. I also squeezed the return line briefly with pliers to build up a little extra fuel pressure but nothing happened. Do you think this is my problem?
Thanks again, Ken
