The most likely issue is that the ABS pump has quit working. Whith hood open, turn the key on and listen near the master cylinder; you should hear a humming noise if the pump is running. It should run for a minute or two after "key on". It's a cylindrical object to the right, and somewhat below the MC. If it's not runnig, whack it hard with a big screw driver.
There are a variety of reasons that may cause this:
fuses/relays - under hood RH side near the power steering resevoir (easy)
poor connections on the master cylinder - pull, clean, re-seat all of them. (not too bad)
bad pressure switch on the MC, sit right next to and forward of the pump - pull the connector and check w an ohm meter, should be "closed, ie; no resistance still no too bad)
Bad ground on the MC - easy to find if the area is clean - remove, clean, replace (easy)
lastly: bad pump - if it started to run after the screw driver whack the motor is cruded up internaly - replace the pump (MAJOR pita + $$$$$$$) A "good" as in unknown condition from a junker is probably $2-400 if you can find one, don't ask about new ;-(
