Might be just a seeping kind of leak out side of head, only overheating when it drops too low. You can put on lots of miles on these cars even if seeping, if you keep an eye on the coolant level and drive with an eye on the gauge.
I seriously doubt a cracked piston.
Probably will start right up and run fine after a battery boost or re-charge.
If it's a real problem, it will show up soon enough.
