I have done both -- I should say the sway bar, as I am not sure what the material is for the solid motor mounts I bought. The sway bar is definately worth it. Some people claim the ends deteriorate, but the ones in the center work. It really made a difference in my car. The motor mounts really help put the power to the road, but the downside is that they transfer vibration at idle. Remember that a 4 cylinder engine is unbalanced in the primary AND secondary moments of inertia, so vibratory loads will be present and noticeable. Once moving, the idle vibration goes away. Unless you plan to increase your horsepower dramatically, the solid motor mounts are probably not for you. Check the performance board for the poly bushing question as well -- there are numerous posts and opinions there.
