...very easy, even if it is rusted. You do not need to pull the spindle. Just get a hardenned punch and a 5 or 10 pound persuader.
The trick is inserting the new stud. I do this job with the rotor and caliper ON. I then take a long piece of wire and tie dental floss to it. I tie the other end of the dental floss to the tip of the threads of the bolt. Dental floss is super strong yet very thin so it fits through the hole without obstructing the bolt insertion. I use the wire to find the hole, pass it through, and then pull the bolt into place. I then take a handfull of washers and pull the wire and string through them. Finally I pull the string through a wheel nut. I tighten the nut to pull the bolt into place. If necessary, bend the dust cover back into place.
