...Goodyear HP 205/16/50 with aero rims on 1988 TC.
Well, I know I was asking about tire changes etc a while ago due to tire rubbing when I pull my in spring air bags. I decided to keep the tires and rims and keep the air bags in the rear springs. I have told the family that the car will have a rough ride, and that is that. There is ZERO rubbing issuewith the air bags.
It has been raining here, and I wanted to see how the tires might handle rain on dirty black top roads. On dry roads, the tires are super awesome. It corners like a champ with almost no yaw at speed! In todays rain, they are stable and feel like I am driving on rails. If I really jam the brakes in the rain, they do lose traction but the skid is straight. More importantly, if I slightly lessen brake pressure the tires grab again and grab again hard. It was stopping on a dime, even though road conditions sucked. I cannot speak highly enough about these tires.
