No good turn goes unpunished....I did my summer to winter oil change 20-50 to 10-30 for a 900s with 200K+ miles.

Within a day or two I have clacking -comming from the middle of the block, I think its a lifter or a lifter not getting oil. I tried adding Gunk's "Valvemedic" to lub out a potential clog. I drove about 20-25 mi but only slightly diminished.

I searched "Lifters" posts here and Zaab talks about it common to have clacking because of an "air trap: and tqalks about having to disconnect fuel pump relay, take off head (does he mean the "valve" cover ????!!!!) backing off black bolt #5 (tope right area) turn over engine 5-10 sec and reassemble.

It this true???practical ???? any other ideas about getting rid of this clacking noise???
