Quieting down the speedometer cable noise

I just last night finished replacing the speedometer cable on my 91 900NA 190k. At low speed it was making a little noise and the needle was bouncing a little. I had this on my 89 900 and quickly thereafter my odometer stopped working. I don’t know if the two are related but I figured I would be safe and replace it ASAP.
I got the cable from Sobstory and with the new cable all is quiet at low speed. However, after I drive for a little bit at higher speed, I start to hear what appears to be cable noise. I thought the cable came pre-greased and I did not have to do anything but install it. SInce the noise is different than before, I do not think this is related to the speedometer. Any suggestions? The sound is really annoying me especially since I thought I was being so proactive in taking care of the cable problem so quickly.
Thanks, Harold
