there is no good reason to cut the wires. disconnect them, at the connector, and *secure* the end. zip tie it back on itself or to the underside of the seat on something easy to get to... Unless a connector is broken (corroded, melted, or the pins are pushed out and broken...) I would *never* cut the wire. You never know when you might want to use it in the future, maybe you upgrade to some newer seats (gee, wish I hadn't cut that connector...).
