You'd have to remove the center console cubby, ash tray, etc to get to the center screw for the lower dash. Then, there are two screws on the front of the firewall, one on the left, one on the right. The drivers side is either under the electrical box or above the wheel arch, I don't remember. Passenger side is in a similar spot on the other side of course. This is a lot of work and I don't recommend it.
You should be able to drop down wires without removing that. If you are running a cable in from the engine compartment, you should be able to remove the sill cover, peel back the carpet where the ECU is and poke wires down through behind the firewall behind the power steering resovior where all the other wires go through.
If it's just audio from the head unit, you should be able to drop the wires down via the right speakerhole somehow with the same carpet peel back instructions above.
