Ok, 89 SPG 140K. When I first got the car about 1 1/2 years ago it would boost to the red and hold without WOT. One day I blew the rubber intake boot from the TB(loose clamp) It was not long after that I noticed a lose of boost.
Under 3/4T to WOT it would go to 3/4 yellow then fall to 1/2 yellow :(
So the search started on this BB, heres what I've done.
New:
vac hoses
new "grommets" on TB,valve cover, ect..
dizzy cap+rotor(Bosch)
plug wires(Magnicore 8mm)
plugs(NGK BCPR7ES at .028)
cleaned AIC and TB
new gas filter
new air filter
clean and check all intake and turbo "boots"(hoses)
remove and check hooter(new clamps)
swapped AMM(perfect idle after warm-up)
93 octane only
tightend all hose clamps
Now I have full boost at WOT, but falls to 3/4 yellow soon after. Hmmm
Also, I have 2k rpm at cold start, but within 30 secs, falls to 850rpm.
I'm stumped... Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
