I have a SAAB 900 16v Turbo, 5 speed manual transmission 1988 model, made to UK specifications, ie it is RHD.

The car is missing/hesitating in the 1500 to 2500 rpm range. It sometimes stalls on pickup. I have replaced vacuum lines, grommets on the inlet manifold, the petrol filter, spark plugs, HT leads and the distributor, none of which have made any difference.

I have tracked the problem to the APC Over Pressure Sensor (turbo overboost switch)- when I disconnected the two electrical leads and jumped them together the car ran perfectly, and the APC Solenoid valve was much less active. However it might be that there is a leak in the pipe from the Over Pressure Sensor, rather than the Over Pressure Sensor itself but I can't see where the pipe runs to. A replacement pipe is less expensive than a new Over Pressure Sensor!

Can anyone help please?
