You're adjusting the front band, The one with the adjuster inside the bottom cover plate, right? If so you back off the adjusting screw and place a small steel plug, 8.9 mm (0.350") thick, between the servo piston and the tip of the adjusting screw. Then you torque down the adjusting screw to 1.3 Nm (11.5 in.lbs), hold the screw still and lock down the nut. This is the process for all late units, 003 series and higher. If you are working on a 001 or 002 series unit, then you use a 1/4" spacer and back off one full turn after torqueing to 11.5 in.lbs, then lock the nut. The process for the rear band (the one with the external adjusting screw) is different. Cheers
