IF there's corrosion, make sure to check out the bolts that tighten the clamps down. Remove nut, knock bolt out, drop in baking soda and water and scrape it with a knife blade down into the threads or power wire brush it so that all the threads are clean. Can have corrosion so hard packed into the threads that what seems like it's tightened down is just bottomed out on the corrosion.
And look for corrosion on the strands of the cable as it leaves clamp up into the insulation. It can be real bad up inside the jacket.
