My indie just drilled out the elongated hole and tapped (with hammer, not a drill/tap) in a a bushing. I think he used an old rear shock lower bushing...drive out the inner metal part. Anyway, he used about 3/8" or just short enough to go into a new clevis pin (check your clevis pin for wear...it's normally harder than the clutch pedal which is why the pedal hole elongates...bad design...I would have induction hardened the clutch pedal at the hole so the pin would wear...and replace the pin if necessary). If the bushing is too tight for the clevis pin get a reamer and open it up to just enough clearance for easy turning of the pin. The larger bearing area of the bushing (don't forget to grease it too!) should make the repair life of car. On the other hand, don't forget to put a drop of oil or pull the pin and grease it every couple years!!!
