from what i know you can use any wiring /IA from any LH 2.2. Saab switched to a 2-pin AIC in i believe 1989 on the LH 2.4, as well as switching to a different AMM.
Check that the vacuum advance mechanism on the new distributor isnt seized before you put it in. it should move slightly counterclockwise when vacuum is applied and you should be able to move the piece inside the distributor manually with ease. if its seized the performance will suck!
get a new o-ring for the distributor swap and you'll need a torx T40 security bit to get the distributor hold-down off. what were they thinking when they designed that!!!?
