Louver Difference Posted by Shaun [Email] (#683) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Shaun) on Sun, 31 Dec 2006 04:17:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Scavenged a set of plastic rear louvers off 1983 900S. They're plastic. Trying to figure out what mounting hardware I need. Mounting hardware scavanged is an alum rod with plastic nipples on both ends that connects the top and bottom of the louver and mounts at top and bottom (adhesive).
To the left and right, near the bottom of the louver, there are two plastic type locking screws (for lack of a better description) that make me think that lock into some other type of mounting hardware.
Finally, did recover two thin pieces of rubberized plastic that insert into the rear glass about 3/4 down from top. Makes me think they act as some sort of barrier to louver/glass contact.
Q1: Did Saab make two different types of louver for the 900 hatchback (I think I've seen metal louvers on later C900s, that are hinged at top. The ones I have are not hinged)
Q2: Does anyone know if I need any additional mounting hardware for the louver I've described.
BTW...I searched the the C900 BB for louvers and could not find answer to my Qs.
Thanks
Shaun
