The best possible thing you can do is to not drive the car until you check the oil pressure with a gauge. Pull out the oil pressure switch and thread in a mechanical gauge. Start the car and see what you get. This is a pain, but driving a car with low oil pressure will quickly destroy the engine.
The second best thing to do is just put in a new switch. If it's the switch, you'll know soon, depending on when the problem shows up. However, if the pressure is low, you'll be doing engine damage while driving.
The third, and possibly worst thing you can do is keep driving it. If it is just the sensor, you'll know very soon. If the engine keeps going just fine, it was the sensor. If the engine suddenly makes loud noises and then stops, sometimes accompanied by large amounts of smoke, it was low oil pressure.
In my years of car experience, I've had an oil pressure light four times. Each time I shut the car off as soon as possible. In three cases, I checked the oil pressure with a gauge, and all was fine - all it took was a new sensor. In the fourth case, it was obvious, as an engine mount broke and when the engine dropped, a suspension bolt pierced the oil pan. The engine ran for probably 15 seconds at speed with the oil light on. While replacing the oil pan I saw that the bottom bearings were fried, and I ended up replacing the engine.
If you're feeling lucky, keep driving. But on a cost-weighted basis, park it and get an oil pressure gauge.
