... after trans install and I drove it about 300 miles before noticing. Luckly no one got hurt.
So besides giving the shop an earfull and insisting that they supply me with new hardware (since some is now lost), is there anything that could have been pontentially damaged here?
Including the ball joint thing the shop also installed my clutch cover incorrectly. The engine temp wire was installed under the cover causing the flywheel to hit it and making an awful noise... I was told it was just the lifters.
With the time that I am going to spend fixing the shops mistakes should I ask for some of my transmission removal/install money back? I usually do all my own work and this would have been easy for me but I recently moved and don't have an engine lift or place to use it anymore so I had to go to a repuable foreign car service associated with a sponsor to warrenty a transmission that I got through another saabnet sponsor that had to be warrentied within 6 months because the pinion wasn't set correctly. I got the ol "my tech would have never done that" story but the shop did supply another trans.
any advise? I just figured this out today so I have til monday to stew.
