Having done this on two 900's, here is what I found works. The best place to tie into the wiring harness is under the middle brace of the floor, just right of the spare tire. If you remove the cable zip ties, you will get enough slack to pull the harness to the side. I don't have my car handy, or the Bentley, but the harness has all four wires that you need to tie into, and a handy ground screw on that brace for the fifth wire on your adapter. Using the wiring diagram to get the colors and a sharp circuit tester to verify the function of each wire, I pulled enough slack on each wire to splice into. The 5-to-4 adapter I used had enough length to the wire that I can have a "tail" hang out under the hatch to connect to the flat four on the trailer when in use, and stuff it back in with the spare when not in use. I also wrapped the wires where they exit under the hatch to give extra protection, and of course had it exit off center, not under the latch. Hope this helps.
