Removing A/C Pump for storing while doing wtr pump work

Hi,
Here's the general idea. I've already lost the A/C coolant when replacing the front end of my 90t (broke one of the linesthat go to the small front radiator).
I think my water pump is going, and I'm leaking power steering fluid, so I'm thinking I'm going to be working around here for a while, and was wondering if anyone had suggestions about removing the A/C pump and lines for medium-term storage. I'm wondering what lines I should leave in for ease of future re-install, versus pull out for now.
Do I need to pull out the tensioner pully if I don't have a belt connected?
Can I safetly leave the hoses disconnected in the engine bay?
I'm in Wisconsin, so I'm not to worried about getting the A/C running again any time soon (today's the first day this week above 10 degrees)
I'm guessing that I'm going to be pulling pumps and belts, so I'd like to be able to drive the car safetly while the A/C is out, just want to make sure I don't miss anything.
Thanks
