if you plan on doing it yourself at home. The only ones who would have a chance to match it would be a body shop who was doing the work. They have the necessary tints and bases to tweak the color till it looks close enough. It doesn't matter where he buys it from based on the code, as they have no way to match it to his car < all they have is a code and a formula to go by. If they add too much of this and not enough of that, the color could be way off. One good thing about the hood panel, it could be off, but because there isn't that much painted surface area abutting the panel, it might be hard to notice subtle differences. It would be more noticeable if he tried to paint just the door and hoped it would match the fender and quarter, which would stick out like a sore ____ if it was off.
