I'd love to get a MB turbodiesel into a Saab body. An impossible task, I think. I love the Saab 900 body and the handling. The MB turbodiesel is an incredible torque and smooth motor- I don't think anyone has combined the two, although I know many on this list are also MB nuts.
I am thinking the price is a bit high on the convertible. I offered the guy full retail NADA, KBB. He won't give any warranty, and is giving a bit of a run around, acting like he's giving the world's best deal. Full retail without having to give warranty of any sort, one would think, is a good offer! I never understand the used car market- other than the simple fact that the buyer tries to pay the least possible and the dealer the most possible. This "dance" plays out so many times, and I assume at some point the dealer just doesn't have room anymore for the car and takes the best offer. Maybe they think if they hold the car until May the convertible market will pick up? What a funny business.
Anyone out there have a turbodiesel too? If so, can you imagine a combo of a MB turbodiesel motor with a stick 900S body?
