look at the contact points where the bulb gets its power from, make sure the three metal taps are clean and not oxidised, using a pocket knife or any kind of tool to clean the tab free from gunk and oxidation my be the problem, if you plug in a bulb turn on the lights, then (before it gets hot) with your finger wiggle the bulb see if the light flickers do this to all the bulbs, if they do turn the lights off and take out the bulbs, with the pocket knife dig in the socket hole and grab the end of a tab and pull it towards you (to reposition the tab)
from the start to the end of the process the tab should now sit 1/3 of a inch closer to you, do this to all the tabs the reinstall bulbs,
(if no light flickered after cleaning the tabs your problem is else where, dont even worry about resting the tabs)
after all the bulbs are in turn the lights on and check to see if the bulbs can be wiggled to get the light to flicker, if you find one dose flicker take bulb out and pull the tabs a little more. (turn off lights first)
if the lights worked before the ground was hooked up check your fuse box to make sure its not blown.
