Thanks guys. I thought I had been gauging it the correct way when I screwed the plug back in finger tight then checked level on dipstick. So this thing's definitely overfilled now. Gotta rig something up to suck some out.
This was definitely not a fill the tranny instead of the engine deal. I asked them to change out the tranny fluid specifically. BTW I don't have much history with this car, and I'm thinking the fluid they drained was very well used (motor oil) and with new motor oil in there and a fresh load of detergent additives I'm gonna drain and refill myself soon. (To get any sludge out of there that the new detergent stirs up.) Any recommendation on how long to run this batch before draining and refilling?
