90 SPG weird slight hesitation thing

Hey guys -- I'm still a new one to this whole LH2.4 deal. My 90 SPG (aside from needing new turbo seals).. runs great but something keeps recurring... couple symptoms I'm noticing:

1) When car is almost but not quite fully warmed up, at steady cruising, car ever so slightly surges/hesitates. It's very slight... not bucking or anything. Like in 4th gear going 45mpg with no boost, slight and persistent surging.

2) At cold starts, car is very slightly "balky" ... idle is pretty steady and none of the LH2.2 bouncy stuff, just slightly resistant to throttle inputs, balky at shifts. I thought its normal (compared to my old 85 SPG that was a cold start beast) but now wonder.

3) The car still has the original ECU and the EGR system. And I'm hearing stories from all that the EGR system causes all kinds of stuff when it craps out.

4) Car has no vacuum leaks, plugs/wires/cap/rotor are all new.

5) No check engine lights or codes are being thrown. Light does work (it self tests when car is 1st started)

In these 2.4 cars, if the O2 sensor or AMM is bad, won't there be a Chk Eng light? I'm wondering if maybe my o2 sensor or AMM is on the way out... but then maybe the C.E.L. indicates this.

The only other thing I can think is that fuel filter is cloggy... any ideas from the room?
