Tran Conver Done but Cruise Control is Dead Posted by 88SPGClone [Email] (#1317) [Profile/Gallery] (more from 88SPGClone) on Sun, 15 Apr 2007 17:57:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I did the entire conversion by the Bentley book and followed the Auto to Manual conversion guide on the site. Cruise control worked prior to conversion. As part of the conversion, I installed a new cruise pedal switch and wire (dual connectors) from the Saab dealer. The chain holding the pedal back is fine and holds vacuum without isse. I've replaced all vacuum hoses from the fender back to the dash. Checked fuse. I've adjusted the brake and clutch switch to 1mm gap just like the Bentley manual says.
The cruise stalk was replaced by the dealer a long time ago. The "old stalk" wiring is still there with the two lines clamped together. Drivers side and between fender and steering wheel shaft, I've got one Brown Spade (w/shield) wire without a home. I've also got one Orange Spade (without shield) wire without a home. I've read a few messages that indicate the loose Orange wire is fairly common to be without home and other post seem to indicate the brown wire could be illumination wire.
Other than one of those mysterious wires, is there anything as part of the conversion that would need to be revised or possibly causing the CC not to work at all? Thanks in advance.
