or right at the contact,
when it rains the humidity is up leaving a crap-ed out spark plug wire to arc through its rubber sheath, or dried out rubber sheath.
i had a similar problem. and to locate what wire it is..
ill just tell you, change the spark plug wire running from the coil to dis. that wire can arc right out of the coil to the frame of the car, it happens only when its wet because the water laying on the metal turns into a better path for the current to take than to run down the wire.
right after the high rpm,s from the highway the coil is way hot, just spewing current everywhere, if you were to jump out of the car at the exit ramp stop and run to the front of the car, you may be in time to hear pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, and if you were to touch the hood, you would experience the real power of a saab. believe me its more powerful than i ever known.
when this is arcing to the hood or frame of the car it leaves the motor with under the amount of power to run the car which then the stall happens.
when the main wire running from the coil to the dis, cools a bit it provides a better current for the power to flow through.
the arcing may be occurring while your on the highway but you would never know it, unless you roll down the window in the rain while driving at 55 and in one hand hold a stick out side the window dragging it on the ground, and with the other hand lick your finger and then reach around the windshield and touch your hood,
this would be a chore seeing half your body would be hanging out your window. but if you did this im sure some if not all the current would flow through you and stall the motor.
but never the less you would feel something, if not stupid.
so after all said and done just replace the one wire.
if you just have replaced the wires not more than 1 day ago
im just letting you know that wire is faulty.
Jack Straw is most right air dose not freeze
