Only time I've ever had a problem with lots of water dripping from my sunroof is when the drain tubes were clogged. I used a long stiff wire and air-in-can to dislodge them, followed by water. Also, when I replaced my headliner, one of the reasons why was because the original was heavily stained from water seepage. The job included removal of the entire headliner and not just the cloth. Before re-installation I made sure to identify and fix all possible leak sources. I found that the hose clamps that tighten around the drain hoses needed tightened. There's the possibility that the rubber might also be cracked at that point, so you'll have to cut the bad piece away. Usually less than an inch. I believe there's enough hose length to do that if required. I also reinforced with silicone sealant the main seal at the very front of the sunroof unit where it presses up against the underside of the roof. You can do that with the sunroof open using a tube of sealant and your finger to spread it evenly. I wanted zero seeping and got it. Years later the new headliner is water stain free.
