drivers side just above the steering column. '94 900S vert. Noticed it while working on the cruise control. It's definitely not brake fluid, seems like power steering fluid but its dripping from the ball chain where it connects to the gas pedal. Its also coming out of the holes in the metal bellows where the steering column passes through the firewall.
This has me stumped, is it possible, if the seal is bad, for power steering fluid to come back up the column into the car from the rack?? Seems unlikely. Please help.
on a side note, i just passed my one year anniversary with this car and I love it. I recently replaced the crank pulley and oil pump and while waiting for the part to arrive from eEuroparts (great site and service BTW) I had to drive my wife's new Subaru outback, I couldn't wait to get back in my 13 year old Saab. Now I know why most of you guys own more than one. Of course, I'm now looking for a 5 speed turbo.
Thanks for all the help I've gotten here.
