Well, after license plate light is out of the way, use a screwdriver to reach up and into the loop on the end of the automatic lock actuator and make sure it's fully which ever way it's supposed to be when unlocked. If that doesn't do it, I think you can actually reach the unlatching link thru there as well but would have to look again on my 4-door.
Hatchback owners: it doesn't look like you can do what 4-door owners and verts can to get hatch open, but I'll play around. The torx screws drop the lens but then the light holder itself is bolted to the car, with a nut meant to be removed from inside. Maybe use a wood chisel to remove the plastic on either side of the 10mm-head hex bolt up under the lens (that holds it from turning.) Then if you can get a socket on it, spinning that bolt a lot might actually get it off, then light can pull down and you can go for the lock link up thru the hole for the wire that's closest to the lock. The trouble is, the nut on the inside will spin freely as there's nothing to hold it, but it should come off easy so if you spin enough while pulling out on the bolt it might work. I'll try this some day for benefit of any locked-out hatch owners.
Maybe I'll replace the hex head bolt on mine with a screw with Allen head, or Phillips head, and look into a way to make the nut on the inside fixed, or sort of fixed. A way involving a big gob of epoxy, that is.
This is more in case of trunk lock mech failure than as a way to get into car.
As to general lockouts on Saabs, I've had a couple, on both 4-doors and hatches, and used a big wood wedge(a chunk of 2x4 cut at a long angle like a door wedge), pried door at top corner with that, got a length of coathanger in,with a U-shaped loop made at bottom, jutting out at 90 degrees, then hooked the lock knob and pulled up. Re-set the wedge a couple of times as it slips. Go gentle pushing past the door gasket. And kind of bend the coathanger every few inches as it goes in, so it will go where you want it.
Not sure how to deal with a lockout on convertibles, but pretty sure you can pry their window glass too and hook lock knob.
