I've got an OE heater valve in my old clunker (taken off the road last year due to rust that would keep "Doug the magic welder" busy for the rest of his life) I installed 15 years/140k ago...& it's still working perfectly.
I put in a no name (but OE in appearance) valve in my brothers car some 5 or so years ago...it lasted only a year before leaking out the top. >:(
RR'ing a c900 heater valve is a horrible job & doing it twice just plain sucks...I need to replace the one in my recently aquired 87' turbo soon (leaking now, but it's not bad yet) & am tempted by the ScanTech unit which is about half the cost of the OE one. I've been very happy with ScanTech parts...but I dunno' - don't want to do this twice. I'm also tempted to remove the OE valve from my rustbucket...it's pretty old though.
