Restoring SPG/Aero rims

I have finally done it! Won a set of SPG rims on ebay that'll fit my 87 TC, that is. They're not perfect, so I was hoping I could get some help from some fellow Saab nuts on restoring them.
Anyways, while exploring some member's profile a couple months ago, I saw they had a photo album of restoring some wheels of their own. They used bondo for curb rash then some paint just to finish it all off. So is bondo a yes or no for this job? Also, what brand and code/spray paint colour do I need for the final paint job? Are the plastic center caps interchangable from the standard boring rims that are on my 87 right now to the SPG rims and will the caps also be "happy" with the same paint as I use for the general rims? One of the caps is missing. I think Laura (that's my Saab's name) shall like her new pair of shoes.
Thanks a bunch,
Charlie
