Resin will crack. Extra resin on a soaked piece of FIBERGLASS will crack as well. You should always squeegee away any extra resin, etc. so as to avoid cracking. I believe that the blue is readily CALLED fiberglass because it contains some fiberglass. That's all. It is a build up material, because it has the fiberglass in there. Is is pure fiberglass? Of course not. And 100 % fiberglass would be useless, as it is an itchy cloth of glass fibers. It sticks to nothing. So a fiberglass car is not 100% fiberglass. It was a silly argument. I've used fiberglass to repair holes in my cars before. It works for a while. It's not a forever thing with rust as quite often the rust is on the inside and the resin will not stick there. moisture keeps working, the rust keeps growing and eventually, the metal under the resin rusts adn the fiberglass patch falls off. Happened on my car just this last week where I had tried a quick patch to repair the drain area of the trunk on my 99.

I'll tone it down. I should have just stayed out of it. I'm met Doug and seen many examples of his work. He shouldn't have to explain himself at this point, that's all.

What I really need to do to fix rust issues on my cars is MOVE. Ohio is not friendly.
