Well, thanks to alot of stimulating input from this board, the white 93 convertible is finally running pretty nice. it's an auto, so not that nice! the previously overheated engine had warped a head, and so i put on a good one. did a compression check before completing the job, and found very bad numbers-90-50-60-90, or something like that. finally decided to just complete the job, as i had a spare engine ready to go, and could condem the thing by lunchtime. so, started her up and wasn't great. got better over time, clean the radiator, replace expansion tank, hoses, tstat(82) techron, timing, etc.... decided to check if the tps was the cause of my idle problem at higher temps-and now it starts and idles fine when warmed up.
actually did a great job of towing our little 16' boat, and gets boost to the yellow/red border happily! she really purrs now, can't believe it! thanks, everyone for help!
