1990 SPG. Horn quit working from either horn button. Removed and replaced the Horn Contact Ring with a junk yard unit I found last year - works fine now (centered it during installation).
Now I'd like to look into repairing the removed unit as some have done. I've read many old posts back thru 2005, but found no specifics. How do you gain access to the windings/wires which might need repair? Pry something off? Is there a Magic Spell to get it to open? Help. I can do electronic soldering fine, if I can find damaged area.
TIA, Vern
