right the maximum voltage flow the Posted by vvack0matic [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: anyone know offhand what the oem, Saana88 ![]() ![]() |
coil delivers, and if by chance the mili amps of spark current, the coil dose.
I'm thinking its around 40,000 volts with 80 ma of spark current.
I,m upgrading the system but i need to know I'm not upgrading to what the bosh coil already has.
only reason
i had many different coils and found coils that deliver great amount of spark current needed when engaging the turbo.
found a coil that was bang delivered 140-300 ma of spark current which made the the car very responsive however when trying to engage the turbo at 75mpg and greater speeds the coil would have full electrical failure for a fraction of a sec. which lead me to believe the coil was around 30,000 volts, way under what i needed.
after buying the bosh coil and installing it, i do not receive the power my previous coil gave, although the bosh coil dose not crap out on 75+ speed boosts it seems to be lagging in power,
im thinking the bosh is somewhere around 40,000 volts with 80 miliams of spark current, but im not sure on this and thats what leeds me to ask.
