When I got sixteen gallons of 83 octane in my S-vert in 2005, I headed out to the Thruway, light on the throttle (anything over a quarter throttle and the engine sputtered and misfired as it had to retard the timing TOO far!) and burned it off at steady state. Highway driving, minimal acceleration, and let the knock sensor take care of it. I drove the car around 45 miles after the low fuel light stayed lit (less than half a gallon remaining) and put a full tank of brand-name high test in and that was that.
If you want to take it farther than that, put in a full can of fuel injector cleaner, run that gas through, then change your fuel filter. You may also want to notify the management of the problem, or if it was a mainstream company, call their comment line and see what you can B&M out of them (not referring to the Boston and Maine Railroad).
