when using additives in the oil, is the car will be in the shop sooner than you would like.
what your talking about is dumping glue down your motor
might as well run to your nearest wall-mart and buy them out of Elmer's glue and dump a quart of that in.
and take a guess where it will come to rest,

... nope however oil filter is a good guess,.

this is what will happen,
when you add this additive to you motor you will notice the can says to run the motor for five minutes or more.
and this is because the company wants to make real sure that the stuff is mixed real good with the oil, but what it will do is put a coat of glue,.
not just glue, but gummy glue, terrible nasty stuff that will never ever be able to get out of your motor.
when the car is warm the gummy glue is nice and runny but when the car sits over night the gummy glue locks down, drying to the inner walls of the motor, oil cooler, valves, oil return lines, you know just all over.
and this will stop a little drip that's a small nuisance.
which puts smiles on everyone's face.
but...
when the car is started after this cool cross your fingers that the glue didn't gum up the oil return line, or lock down the oil cooler, and let say it started fine.
lets fast forward to your next oil change, the oil is dumped and new stuff is added but guess what .... the gummy glue is still in the motor and will be forever.
just don't try to start the car in the winter.
(that goes for all them oil companies that sell oil that states)
(made for high mileage cars) its because they add glue to it.
you hear about slick 50.
well ill say it anyway
back in the day when slick 50 hit the shelves everyone thought it was the best stuff that came off this green earth.
made the motor run smoother, stopped small drips, heck they even advertised that the motor could be ran 50 miles with no oil after it was dosed with the stuff.
everything slick 50 claimed about its stuff was true.
but what they didn't add or care to inform the average consumer was the stuff coats the inside of the motor with a plastic film, we are talking cylinder walls, oil cooler, you know everywhere your gummy glue will go, but the slick 50 dry-es to a hard plastic film, not like your gummy glue that will dry but stay on the gummy side,
what happened with slick 50 was when it hit the cylinder walls it dried to a hard plastic,... no biggie
but it made for blockage, so the motor oil could not lubricate between the piston rings and cylinder walls, because there was all this foreign matter in the way.
but in the end slick 50 made their billion and slowly slipped out the back door.
but i guess its your motor, i`d get a new gasket before i would ever even think of putting additives in my oil, but that's just me.
