Oily residue on passenger side floorboards Posted by NCSaab [Email] (#973) [Profile/Gallery] (more from NCSaab) on Sun, 12 Aug 2007 21:40:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Removed seats, carpet & floor insulation this weekend to dry out the floor of my '92TC. Thank you SPGx2 -- your suggestion of A/C condensor drain was the right one and not a top issue as I had initially thought. Jacked up the car when I got home Friday and found that clogged second drain tube in the rt. front wheel well (didn't see it when I looked in my office parking lot).
While mucking about today I found an oily residue on the passenger side floorboard (both front and rear -- pls see pix in gallery). What is behind the tan tape in the pictures? Whatever it is has appeared to leak. I researched on this site and in the Bentley and can't figure out what lines (if any) go down the passenger side.
Found the fuel and brake lines running down the driver's side and they seem fine. No signs of fluid leak outside of top's hydrualic motor under rear seat.
Any suggestions for removing the oil residue from the sound/heat insulation?
