Hope folks can help as I think I've got an inter-related problem. I'm in the process of bringing an '84 Turbo back from the dead after an engine compartment fire and I'm down to this one last issue. I've had a couple of the later ones, but this 8v car has got me stumped. The wire harness is a graft under the radiator and on the right front of the car from a donor and I've run each lead and tested. I've gotten everything properly sorted but this...even working cold air!

Here's my problem....

The car will not run unless I jump the points on the fuel pump relay. I've replaced the relay, but that does not help and with the old relay jumped, the curcuit remains hot 100% of the time, so I've had to resort to pulling the relay to get the fuel pump to stop. Great anti-theft, but lousy in the rain! The tach is also not working, and a little time with the Bentley is leading me to think that the problems might be related.

Replaced the electrical part of the ignition switch since there were other issues down there, but no change from b4 to after.

Any help from you experienced 8V folks would be most appreciated!
