You say you have three fat nuts under the pressure plate housing. Where I tell people they go is under the "ears" of the pressure plate forging, where it sticks out through the pressed-metal housing, just at the point where the 3 short straps that hold it to the housing are riveted to it. Put it so heads of rivets sit inside hole of nut.
Then tighten down three of the six pressure plate bolts, and that lowers the housing part back down to the flywheel, and jacks the pressure plate up, depressing the fingers. Then slide the Saab special tool in to hold the fingers depressed. Remove your 3 bolts and the 3 fat nuts fall out. Then as VvackO said, push it all together into a package, slave cylinder, throwout bearing, pressure plate and clutch disk, and it should just slide out clear.
