Follow the positive cable from battery to starter and check for defects. Then check starter connection for corrosion and the small wire on starter for connection quality. Is the battery ground wire good. Check and clean ground points to chassie/body. Look on the back of starter and jumper the small wire to the large power cable coming from the battery. This should cause the starter to engage and turn/crank engine. Make sure the "car is in neutral". If the starter engages, then pull small wire off starter and connect to voltage tester positive (+). to ground (-) and turn key to start. If you don't see voltage at meter than the ignition switch is probably at fault. Is the new battery "Fully" charged?
